Winter edition: letting go of illusions

The question if we would like to organize a weekend with Chi kung and Zen is often asked. Hence Jeroen and I sat down together. I have known him for quite a few years. We work together as Geomancy colleagues and many other areas.

“We need to do something on Terschelling related to Chi.”

Our idea evolved into an initiative to organize a weekend retreat, four times a year, aligned with the rhythm of the seasons. Drawing on the wisdom of Jaap Voigt, Helene will guide you through the Chi and unique characteristics of the upcoming season. Jeroen will complement and emphasise this with joint practices of Chi Kung and Zen.

This combination gives you a nice framework to shape your life in the rhythm of the season for the next three months.

FREE TIME

On Saturday afternoon, you have two hours of free time for a nice walk (beach, dunes and forest is nearby!), a good conversation with me or Helene, or a nap.

For those who want: we have two holistic masseurs available who have time for you (EUR 95,- per person, not included). You can let me know when you register.

CONTRIBUTION

The contribution for this weekend is EUR 295,- (excl. VAT and accommodation) including two lunches and a dinner on Saturday evening.
The maximum number of participants is 12. This creates an intimate and cozy group.

ACCOMMODATION

Whether you want to camp with the ranger or stay in a lovely hotel: everything is possible on Terschelling. We are happy to help you find accommodation that suits your needs. Our location is in Terschelling West, so if you choose something there, everything is within walking distance.

You don't need a bike for the program itself. If you would like to cycle, let us know, and we will reserve a (possibly electric) bike for you (not included).

TRAVEL

The boat to Terschelling departs from Harlingen.

Are you coming to Harlingen by car?
The parking lot near the harbour is EUR 8,50 per calendar day and EUR 7,50 if you reserve in advance. You are not allowed to park your car in Harlingen for the whole weekend.

Are you coming to Harlingen by train?

Check when booking your boat ticket if Doeksen has an offer for a combination ticket.

Boat trip

The trip across the Wadden Sea literally separates you from the shore and everything that demands your attention there. You can book the ferry (two hours) or the fast service (fifty minutes) via Rederij Doeksen. We recommend the ferry. The fast service is more practical if you have little time, but it has no outdoor deck and catering.

We have arranged the program enables you to arrive on Friday with the last boat and leave on Sunday with the last boat. Of course, you can come earlier and stay longer!
